Waterproofing Giant Extends Partnership with CME

Leading manufacturer of waterproofing membranes, SOPREMA, has extended its partnership with CME following the success of the agency’s previous work.

CME was first appointed to provide marketing support to the global waterproofing specialist in 2019 and the contract is set to continue as the team drives forward a new PR and content strategy for 2022. The campaign aims to help the company reach a wider audience and keep its extensive product portfolio front of mind with architects, design consultants and contractors looking for a quality waterproofing solution.

Content creation is at the heart of CME’s partnership with SOPREMA, with the team working alongside technical experts to understand the brand’s wide range of specialist products and key challenges in the sector to create engaging copy for the trade media, as well as the company’s own communications channels.

As part of CME’s work with the renowned waterproofing specialist, the team provides regular content for the company’s blog, as well as digital newsletters and targeted email marketing campaigns. CME is also working with SOPREMA and its stakeholders to produce the company’s first whitepaper.

Speaking on the continued partnership with CME, Debby Dawson, Marketing Manager at SOPREMA UK, said: “We work in a very specialist industry so partnering with an agency that really understands our business is crucial. The team at CME always goes above and beyond to deliver results and it makes very good sense to extend our current contract.

“CME brings a lot of added value to SOPREMA, with a huge amount of skill and expertise to complement our in-house team. Sarah clearly has her finger on the pulse and having someone who knows the industry inside out as a sounding board is invaluable.”

Sarah Reay, Managing Director at CME, added: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working as an extension of the marketing team at SOPREMA over the last couple of years and we’re absolutely thrilled to continue to support the business as we prepare to launch the next phase of our PR and content strategy.”

SOPREMA provides everything from structural waterproofing to swimming pool liners and thermal and natural insulation. Headquartered in Belgium, the company has more than 80 production plants with subsidiaries and distributors covering 90 countries, spanning across five continents.
